MEET CHRIS
Born on the sunny island of Malta. Class of 1987, Chris's first flirt with the creative arts came through his love for electronic music. After having some of his music released on various international record labels, Chris started to develop, a passion for the audio-visual sector. The next logical step for him after graduating in Media (Moving Image) at the MCAST Institute for the Creative Arts in 2012, was to launch his freelancing career specializing in video post-production, sound design, music production, photography & digital art.
As of today, he has been part of numerous exciting projects, both within the commercial & creative sectors in several different capacities, ranging from video editor to VFX artist, motion designer & sound designer.
These include overseeing and implementing post-production work on local TV series Maskra (2013), Division 7 (2016 - 2018), Elf Metodu (2019) & Kuruna Kommandos (2020). As of late, he has also worked on visuals for shows such as Malta’s Got Talent, Muzika Muzika & The Special Olympics Opening Ceremony. In the past, he also created visuals for theatre productions such as the sociopolitical Satire, 'Sibna ż-Żejt' (2015) and 'Ħabbilni ħa Nirbaħ' (2016), Larinġa Mekkanika- A Clockwork Orange (2019) & musicals ‘Balzunetta Towers’ (2017) & ‘Il-Kbir Ghadu Gej’ (2019,2022).
He also worked on several commercials for top international brands both, for TV and online for local and foreign markets, created animations, and worked on several short films in different stages of post-production.
Clients include The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Stagun Teatru Malti, ONE TV, YADA Dance Company, Ultimae Records (France), The Sunday Times of Malta, ASMK, MaltaFilm, Rock the South Malta, Madmovies Productions LTD, Balzunetta Productions, Arts Council Malta, Steven Levi Vella, Teatru Manoel, Teatru Malta, DBA Entertainment, MCA, CRPD, PBS, Mad About Video, and more.
His photographic works have been published in newspapers, magazines, and web portals, both locally and abroad. Within a brief stint at Stargate Studios Malta in 2015/2016, Chris worked on various International television series as a Visual Effects Artist. Shows include, And Then There Were None, aired on BBC, Sky Art's Urban Myths, You, Me, and The Apocalypse, aired on NBC & SKY, The Royals, aired on E Entertainment, La Embajada, aired on Antenna 3, I Medici: Masters of Florence starring Dustin Hoffman.
